Michael Moore talks about helping to organize restoration of Downtown Flint’s Capitol Theatre

FLINT, MI — While in Flint to promote his latest book “Here Comes Trouble”, which was on sale to benefit the Flint Public Library, Michael Moore talked about trying to restore the long-shuttered Capitol Theatre at his appearance at Whiting Auditorium on Tuesday, November 22. Moore said that he went over there to see them to see when they could get it open. He offered his assistance in fundraising to restore the John Eberson designed atmospheric theater based on his experience in restoring the State Theatre in Traverse City, MI.

Great news! I hope he can help. Passed by it on a recent visit to Flint and the exterior still looks very good.
