CITY OF INDUSTRY, CA — Despite everything else going on in Los Angeles, the Vineland is still packing them in as the last drive-in in the county. As a first time visitor last weekend, I can personally attest that there’s still a huge audience for this. Especially in the summer, this is a big family entertainment destination for the area.

I’ve been splitting time between here and the Mission Tiki all summer long. A HUGE part of its success is the fact that it’s the only game in (or relatively close to) town. They’d benefit from a lot repave, some tech work on their Technalight projection system & an upgraded snack bar among other things. Nevertheless, I’m glad that the Vineland is still hanging around.

Glad that the Vineland is still open. Since Drive-Ins were such a part of So. Calif history in the mid 20th Century, maybe they should make it an historic site.
