    Located at 325 East 10th street in Pittsburg, California. In its present condition, the theater stands solid. It’s been gutted and floors have been leveled, a couple of windows have been opened, a big roll up door was added to one of the theater’s exterior walls, and a new roof was installed about 4 years ago.     Sir Harry Lauder and the American Music Hall

    In May 1966, a lady theater proprietor named, we think, Mrs. Glasgow, purchased three of our family portraits from our family home in Scotland which we were forced to sell to pay death duties. She said she was going to put them in her theater in, we think, California. Somehow, by 1980, they were stored in someone’s garage.

    Movie Theater for Sale

    IDYLLWILD, CA — The Rustic Theater, located in the San Jacinto Mountains, 5000 feet above Palm Springs, California in a quaint village called Idyllwild, is reportedly for sale, according to ‘morrierustic’. The owner is retiring after 27 years. The theater has been in continuous operation since 1956.

    Belcourt Theatre Sold For $1.4 Million

    According to this article in the Nashville City Paper, the Belcourt Theatre has been sold to the Belcourt YES! group, which has plans to restore the theater and run it as a mixed-use facility offering films, theater performances, and live music. The Belcourt YES! group has been operating the theater since June 2000, when it took over from a grassroots effort known as ‘Save the Belcourt’.

    Charleston’s Garden Theater For Sale

    The Garden Theater, which opened on January 14, 1918 in Charleston, South Carolina, is for sale. When it opened, one entered across a tile floor, under a huge ornate arch, into a garden of hanging flower baskets, caged singing canaries, trellises and crystal chandeliers.
