This theater actually has 2 screens and not 4. It opened in 1971 and closed in 1997. The theater actually went by the name Eastway I-II but was locally known as Cinema World to not be confused with the Eastway Plaza theater. It was owned originally by Cinemette Corporation of America from 1971-1988 when it was taken over by Cinema World from 1988-1994. Carmike Cinemas then owned the theater from 1994 until its closure in 1997.

The theater opened in 1973 and closed down in 2001. The land was used as a Flea Market for a short time afterwards before the theater became abandoned for a few years. It was demolished by 2004 and the Tom Ridge Environmental Center finished construction and opened in 2006.
