As great as the original logo for “Funny Girl” is, it just isn’t marquee friendly. Columbia Pictures used the original Broadway logo and when it was cut up for the huge billboard above the Winter Garden marquee it just looks awkward.

“Alice In Wonderland” was shot as a hardcore feature but was released softcore. When the DVD was released the theatrical and restored hardcore version were featured. Here is a history of the production.

Formally Prudential, now a UA Theatre, the 5th Ave Drive-In closed November 26, 1968 with the double feature “Shalako!” starring Sean Connery & Brigitte Bardot and 1967’s “Born Losers”. In later years, the 5th Ave was relocated to mostly sub run bookings while The Bayshore-Sunrise Drive-In only four miles away was first run.
