When the Lafayette Square opened on Feb.27,1922, the “Morning Express” gave the seating capacity of 4,200. The Interior Designer was Gustave A.Brand of Chicago. It showed the First Vitaphone on opening day, “The Summer Bachelors”.

The Elmwood Theatre opened on May 27,1921. The Architect was Leon H. Lempert,Jr. The firm was Leon H. Lempert & Son Theatrical Architects, of Rochester,N.Y. (Leon Sr. passed in 1909 and Jr. in 1934.)

The Amherst Theater opened Jan.18,1942 and was designed by G.Morton Wolfe. It opened with a seating capacity of 1,186.

When the Palace opened on July 18,1925, it was listed as having a seating capacity of 1,532. The Interior Designer was W. Lusk.

That local Architect, without whom there would be no Palace, was Leon H. Lempert,Jr. of Rochester,N.Y.

The Allendale opened on Sept.23,1913, as a Photoplay theatre showing “Ivanhoe”. The Architect was Leon H. Lempert,Jr. of Rochester, N.Y.
