I thought we we were talking about the DuPage Theater in Lombard, Illinois. How did we end up in Anchorage, Alaska?

TheALAN commented about ARCADE Theatre, Waynesboro, Pennsylvania: Playbill, 1934 on Apr 30, 2015 at 2:32 pm

And here is Lou again, this time with a an old 1934 playbill from from the Arcade Theatre in Waynesboro, Pennsylvania. Must be traveling with Jeff.

“Eight Girls in a Boat” drama (1934-Paramount) starring Dorothy Wilson, (1909-1998) and Douglass Montgomery, (1907-1966).

Don’t know what this has to do with the demolished DuPage Theatre in Lombard, Pennsylvania, but it may be of interest to someone.

TheALAN commented about side view, showing whole building, including stage house on Apr 30, 2015 at 1:59 pm

And now Jeff is in Pennsylvania checking out the Sayre Theater, an old Vaudeville house. We’re still in Lombard, Illinois talking about the DuPage Theatre.

We’re talking about the DuPage Theatre in Lombard, IL and you’re showing us a picture of the Diane Drive-In in Carlinville, IL. Don’t know what this relationship is but at least they’re in the same state.

TheALAN commented about El Moro on Apr 30, 2015 at 1:42 pm

More stupidness, this time by Jeff. What is the relationship between this theater, the El Morro Theatre in Gallup, NM and the DuPage Theatre in Lombard, IL. None! They don’t even look alike.

What the hell does chewing gum scraped from the Kenosha Theatre in Kenosha, WI have to do with the DuPage Theatre in Lombard, IL? Stupid!

TheALAN commented about Bijou Theatre on Apr 26, 2015 at 6:55 pm

Jeepers creepers Rick, in 1967, just imagine, the Bijou Theatre might have been hiding in one of those big old creepy buildings.

Gosh Rick, in the heart of the long-vanished theater district, there must have been a bunch of long abandoned theaters in there.

TheALAN commented about Bell Theater on Apr 22, 2015 at 1:15 pm

Who were the architects of the Star/Bell theater and in what style was it designed? And yes, a photo of the theater would be nice!

TheALAN
TheALAN commented about Belgrade Theatre on Apr 21, 2015 at 6:47 pm

‘Portrichmond'says a Mr. Owens was the first owner of the Belgrade, although PAB lists Louis Rovner as the client. PAB also says “Louis Rovner was part of the company of Handle & Rovner Amuesment Enterprises, which operated many theatres in the Philadelphia area.” That Philadelphia area included at least a dozen theatres in South Jersey. Could it be that Mr. Owens was the manager of the Belgrade Theatre, not the owner?
