it’s similar to the size of the screens at other AMCs. Given its name, this theater is the top grossing in the Garden State.
Does anyone remember how big the screen is in auditorium 10? I know #12 is a pretty big screen in a fairly big auditorium, but I think #10 might be on the other side? so much smaller?? or not?
I know. You have to get through certain areas of the mall to get there. Some roads are blocked.
Paramus has Blue Laws so stores are closed on Sundays except grocery stores. The theaters are the only thing open at the mall on a Subday. Makes parking easy.
Saw Dory here in dolby cinema. Looked and sounded amazing, especially the opening realistic looking short film at the beginning. Yea sunday is best because I think the rest of the mall isn’t open all day like usual due to some local law so the parking lot is mostly empty. I agree though, this is the biggest in the north nj area
I’ve been to Jersey Gardens 20 before one of their screens became a liemax and saw my first reald 3d movie there. I never been to Hamilton, which has the same number of screens as Cherry Hill, which i also never went to. Those are in central and south jersey, respectively. In north jersey this theater is the busiest out of all the theaters in that area due to it being in a busy mall area. The parking lot on Sundays is less crowded near this place than during the rest of the week since most of the parking surrounds the theater. Finding Dory is playing in Dolby Cinema at AMC while Warcraft is still playing in IMAX 3D.
In ALL of NJ? IDK AMC Elizabeth has 20 screens and plays tons of international films too in addition to being near tons of communities. This screen benefits from being in a big mall imo.
AMC Hamilton has 24 screens but I have never been there so I can’t comment on it
Is this theater the highest grossing theater in North Jersey as well as New Jersey?
no, they just delayed deciding what movie to show on that screen until last minute
I don’t think the small screen IMAX Laser projector design is even finished yet.
And I can’t see Lincoln Square not getting laser before places like this.

Saw Zootopia here in dolby cinema. Wasn’t bad. Colors popped and audio was great. Seats didn’t vibrate like amc empire though, had to bring that up.
Also, right now there’s no reserved seating, but if you try to get tickets to civil war, you can choose seats so they are going to be adding the system in soon it seems
On a lighter note, how is Dolby Cinema at AMC Prime? Star Wars is playing there.
Gee the print is already scratched? Amazing. Im projecting it at the E Walk in NYC and it doesnt have a scratch yet. Good ol AMC.
Is was great to see 70MM again, however, I think Tarantino’s experiment will not change things. The Ultra Panavision image only filled half the screen,the images did not pop off the screen as they would in digital (This film will play well on blu-ray at home since it’s mostly interior) If Hateful 8 played a theater equipped with the cinerama screen then it would be an experience, but the cost would be enormous. I kept thinking that if this film played a special run at an equipped theater geared for the image, with reserved seating, then it would be an event. The sound was outstanding and the movie itself was great. At one point a line ran down the film from wear and tear and there was some dropouts, it made me smile and think of the old days when it was all film. I don’t know if 70MM fever will spread (for special event screenings I hope so) but I applaud QT for bringing back the roadshow. I saw LAWRENCE OF ARABIA at the Ziegfeld in 70MM in 2002 for the 40th and I was awestruck!!!
AMC Prime Theatre is now open. Theater #15 has a (temporary) 70MM projector installed for the Hateful Eight Roadshow – decent presentation (although awkwardly letterboxed – leaving the bottom ¼th empty).
The lack of masking was the subject of a few complaints – the image size was about ½ a flat image in this auditorium (I’m not sure QT would approve – I wish Harvey had booked Edgewater Multiplex instead – they have a few big houses with side masking that would provided a better experience for sure, even if they aren’t properly set up for Ultra Pannavision either).
The other oddity about Theater #15 – it literally is the furthest theater from the concession stand – I doubt during peak times (this weekend) that 12-minute intermission is going to be enough time. It’s quite comical how AMC boasts about “innovation” when they pay such little attention to details.
Is the Dolby Vision Theater still on track? Is it really that much better. I’m really curious for details about it.
Yup. And I cant wait to see how long it takes for the dopes running the booth will blow up the print. I applied to 3 different companies looking for PROFESSIONAL projectionists with 70MM expierience. (which I had from the 80’s and 90’s) But no response, except from one one who told me he hired students from a vocational school. Yeah, Im sure theyre gonna know what their doing. Yup this ol timer is just gonna sit back and watch the horror stories light up the internet.
This theater will show The Hateful Eight in 70mm when it opens on Xmas Day next week.
According to fandango @poland626, Chipmunks 4 is not in 3d and there are regular showtimes. Point Break has reald 3d showtimes only while Star Wars has Imax showtimes. This is the only location in NJ to host the two day marathon and tickets are still available.
ETA for Dolby Cinema is now Christmas Eve. That puts Point Break at being the first possible film there. Star wars would take the imax and I doubt they would put chipmunks 4 in dolby cinema

AMC will begin by converting existing ETX and AMC Prime sites into Dolby Cinema ones. It expects to have four by mid-May: in Los Angeles, Kansas City, Houston, and Atlanta. It plans to have 50 by the end of 2018, and 100 by the end of 2024.

Looks like amc will rebrand their prime and etx theatres as dolby cinema by the end of 2024….including the etx screen here.
