The pictures posted by halehouse are great, but at the same time maddening. Thanks for posting those, I have always been curious as to what the inside of those places looked like. Does anyone have any pictures of how they looked in their hayday? I’m not old enough to have seen them when they were still running. If anyone has any more info on either theatre please email me! I’d love to hear more! Halehouse, could you please email me so I can ask you a few questions? Thanks!

I’ve been curious about the Youngstown State Theater ever since I first stepped foot in the Cleveland Agora. In Cleveland the Agora is used for new age and rock mucic concerts. The chairs and carpets are removed but none of the patrons ages 15-50 seemed to mind. I would love to see something done to make use of the Youngstown Agora. I am a 23yr old who is employed with a IT COmpany on Federal ST with a great view of that old theater boarded up and empty. I’d love to see something done with it. I’ve been curious about the contents of that old building for too long, but can’t seem to find any photos.(also member of YAEDA) I’d love some photos!!!!

I would love to see it reopened in some form or another. I can not believe I am from a town that would allow most of there historic buildings to go to waste, such as Youngstown has.
