you walk into an upper cafe lobby area buy a ticket and go down stairs where you walk into the balcony level of a big 1950’s style auditorium. there is little decoration, the balcony seats approx 100 and overlooks the stalls area.
the seats are vinyl or leather (easy to wipe down) its a shame its mostly used for porn as it has a huge screen and is a well preserved auditorium

a photo scanned from a newspaper clipping from the coverage of the opening of the new ABC Troc showing the stunning make over, this was an amazing cinema to watch films in
the ceiling was restores and relit and painted in purple pink and gold but sadly the deco lanterns were removed, i wonder what happened to them

here is an ariel shot of the two Cornerhouse buildings taken around 1994 from my office, it was before the glass wall makeover of the main cinema.
in the distance you can see the BBC building and next to it the bulky pitched roof of the Regal Twin (now Dancehouse theatre)
