My grandfather, Abe Levy, opened the Strand and Rivoli in Waco (in the 1920s). As my mom recently passed away and I’ve been going through her remaining belongings, I happened to find several photos of the Laurel, including this one from the grand opening. (I’m assuming my grandfather must have worked here as well at that point, but had not heard of the theater until today.)
