This was my grandfather’s theater – My uncle William, Jr. operated it with him. I understand a hurricane took down the original spot. Originally movies were shown on the side of a building. I remember seeing this theater in the 50’s. My grandfather and his family came to Boynton in 1915. I have pictures of my dad on Dixie Highway which was a dirt road at that time.

Thank you for your memories and recollections. That theater later became the Steven’s Rexall drugstore. The photo is quite small due to CT resizing but the marquee reads “Gun that won the war” which was a mistake as the film was “The gun the that won the west” which places this photo in 1955.
