Unable to have advertisements for his films run in the Katoomba Daily, Johnson tried to at least lodge a paid notice regarding the “Snow White” poster vandalisation. Newspaper editor Tyler - clearly under the thumb of owner Camphin - only reluctantly ran the item in the Saturday 3rd December issue – but deleted reference to the film title included in the originally submitted text.
