Filmed in mid-1921 at Katoomba and Medlow Bath “The Blue Mountain Mystery” (now a lost film) opened at the Katoomba Empire and Leura Masonic Hall a few days after it launched at the Sydney Lyceum. Oddly, the producer Carroll Brothers were considered more significant for promotion than the now legendary writer-directors Longford-Lyell.
