A squad of Hoyts technicians headed by Kel Ball started work after the show on Saturday 20th November 1954, and continued until Monday morning installing a new 26.5 x 11.5 ft. screen at the Ritz. “The Robe’ opened in CinemaScope on Thursday 23rd December. Four track magnetic stereophonic sound was not featured.
