This theater was rebuilt in 1925/26 as a theater/live music venue. In in the mid 80’s as the Latin Quarter ( the sign still said Grand Quarters though ) and hosted a variety of Alternative and Hip-Hop artists. It is currently closed. There is a picture at View link of it’s condition as of January 2008.
I got to play here once, amazing stage. Here is a close-up of the sign ( very cool ) , taken in mid-October 2007.
