  • <p>This photo dated 1986. In the early 1980s a private real estate developer purchased the building with hopes of reopening The Ritz as a first-run movie house. This never materialized and instead The Ritz became a concert venue for several years. This is how the Ritz looked as a movie house for many years before the interior was completed gutted and stripped down to the bare walls (with exception of proscenium and stage which remain today.)</p>
