March 28, 1962. Boston opening of “The Head.” Now notice the barely noticeable “And the Wild, Wild Women,” at the bottom of the bill. You might never know it, but this was an extraordinary Italian prison-drama with Anna Magnani, Giulietta Masina, and Alberto Sordi. The Globe reviewer snubbed it and couldn’t be bothered even to watch it.
