This is a multi-format screen.
The image shows the format Sovscope 1:2.35 (comparable with CinemaScope and optical sound 1:2.35).
The screen consists of 9 movable panels wich can be arranged flat or in 129 degree curve for 70 MM 1:2.1 or 146 degree curve for 3 strip Kinopanorama 1:2.75 (compatible to 3 strip Cinerama 1:2.75).
In the pictures no changes to 1958 are to be recognized, exept new seats and a Dolby Digital sound system. Even the blue and red curtain, the Kinopanorama surround speakers and the special acustic celing were not removed.
Presumabbly the cinema screen is still in its original condition.
It is wonderful that an original deeply curved Kinopanorama (aka Cinerama) theatre is not damaged and still in use as a living cinema.
