For those of us who have waited decades to see this theater reopen, it is always a special pleasure to view the Fox Oakland at night, with the Bay Area’s only remaining theater vertical sign from the 1920s, a very fine late 1930s marquee, and the finest remodeled entry from the Skouras era still extant.</p>
