The Oct. 6, 1951 issue of Boxoffice ran a two-page story about manager Ronald Means' work in transforming an 8x10-foot space into a little concession stand. The original caption:
Maximum efficiency in minimum space has been achieved in this 8x10-foot concession stand at the Oak Park Theatre, Kansas City, Mo. Since remodeling the neighborhood theatre has almost doubled its former refreshment business.
