As a kid growing up in Boonton Township, circa 50s and 60s, I saw a lot of movies in this Theater! Lots of memories! I have vivid memories of seeing, The Three Stooges in Orbit,“ in 1962. it was only the 4th full feature film done by the Three Stooges. By this time, it was with Moe Howard, Larry Fine, and Joe DeRita!
My family vacationed in Lavallette for around 20 years, always the last 2 weeks of the summer, from around 1958 – 1978. We always went to this theatre and saw such classics as “Hard Day’s Night” in 1964 and the original “Batman” movie in 1966. We would get our candy across the street at Martin’s Department store!
