My parents used to tell about the Avenue D Theater which I lived down the street from most of my childhood life in the 70’s and 80’s. I wish I could see old pics of it. :(
I remember going there as a kid in the 70’s and early 80’s. If we couldn’t get into the RKO Kenmore over on Church we’d walk down the street to the Albermarle.
I used to go to the RKO Kenmore as a child in the 70’s and 80’s. If I had Tens of millions of Dollars to spare I’d buy Modells out and rebuild the theater as a community landmark project. It’s sad it closed down the way it did but it’s even more sad what replaced it.
