What would be really cool is to have theater locations show up in something like google maps. For example zoom to NYC and see where all the theaters are/were located.

Sure had a great time at the Wonder Morton organ shows. A very happy and relaxing weekend trip. Drove all the way from Ohio. Can hardly wait to get back there again for another organ show.

Here are some pictures of the weekend’s events, Wonder Morton, Loew’s Theatre and people.

Do the blueprints show anything about an elevator? I thought I saw one in there someplace once.

Here is a really terrific picture of the Loew’s Jersey lobby all done up for an event. View link

How did the movies turn out this weekend? Sounded like lots of good films. The Red Balloon is always fun.

TonyM, Did your friend mention any possibility of the A&E show being released on DVD? Lets hope that enough people contact them about the real value of their show !!! This type of footage is so rare.

Dan, your interior pictures are totally amazing. I never would have guessed things looked like that from old black and white pictures or a car drive by. Super website !

There is a new CD just released that features Lee Erwin playing the Robert-Morton Theatre Organs at Loew’s 175th and Loew’s Kings. The Kings Wonder Morton recording on the CD is of the organ’s farewell concert. More info at http://www.gstos.org/TheWondersOfItAll.htm

The Paradise Robert-Morton theatre pipe organ is being intalled in Loew’s Jersey by the Garden State Theatre Organ Society. Details at http://www.gstos.org/wonder.htm

When it plays for a concert, hopefully within 1-2 years, it will sure uncover any loose plaster. A huge sound !!! Most of the organ has been installed and some of it is already playing if you operate it from within the chamber.
