Picture of Balby cinema 1925 showing the front entrance with Manager and staff. From right to left, Manager Albert Dobney, next his Wife who also worked in the Pay Box, next their two children, then the three young ladies who worked in the cinema. The young Albert Dobney survived the war and was engaged as Manager in 1921 he and his family were provided with the house next door he worked for the cinema for 34 years until 1954 when Star cinemas purchased the Balby.
