Michigandriveins – Most certainly it does.
@Kermit73, I understand. That was my mistake. I spoke with the maintenance man not too long ago and the large objects I saw lifted to and from the roof were air conditioners, not projectors. I have bad vision and saw all of this happening from down the road. My appologies for false information.
Theater is completely closed and boarded up. I watched the projectors get removed and I doubt it’ll ever open again.
Photos of the interior are up!
Lots of photos of the theater.
Did ReelMovies ever finish the KonTiki website? I’d like to see it.
By facade I’m assuming that you mean the siding? Hopefully. The only question is, donate to whom?
Oh, trust me. We will. For sure. We want to salvage as much as we can. We will try to see if we can rescue the signs.
I made an error in my last post, the official demolition date is sometime in June according to an article published in the news paper.
NativeForestHiller, We tried to make that plea with the developer, unfortunately, it was not an economically sound deal for them.
The plan is to demolish it in the next three to four weeks, or so I hear.
A foundation to preserve the Quo Vadis has been started. We feature a gallery of almost 70 photographs and a lot of information spanning the Quo’s nearly 40 years.
