Idk where else to put this comment, but can we get a separate listing of The Amp theater? I have some photos and newspaper stories to show for.

When Malco purchased what was The Amp theater, two auditoriums were repurposed when the addition of the bowling alley was built next door. The arcade room is the most noticeable of the two which was repurposed space.

Originally slated to open fall of 2003. Newsprint ads ran that year temporarily had the name for this theater as “The Studio”. See Malco’s Cine 4 theater photos.

While United Artists was bought out by Regal, this theater never had Regal Theaters branding. Before United Artists, this theater was operated by Gulf State Theaters.

This theater closed temporarily and reopened under Malco on February 21st 2003. Exact date this theater ceased operations was on 11/3/06.

Opened on November 4th 2005, it was referred to as Oxford Studio 8 for a very brief time.

Additionally, it became a Malco branded theater sometime between February and March of 03'. It briefly operated alongside the new Malco Oxford Studio Cinema until operations ceased sometime between October and November of 06'.

The Cine 4 wasn’t demolished. The theater sits abandoned between the closed JCPenny and the still operating Malco Oxford Studio Cinema. Photos of its current decaying state added by me.
