Remember a pony keg of beer in the aisle, and smoking joints during one of the midnight showings of Led Zepplin’s Song Remains the Same.
Yeah, I didn’t think SanDiegoNative had it correct about it being gone by December 1989.
My wife (of over 30 years) and I, went on some of our early dates there and saw The Doors a couple times Spring 1991.
Grew up there. Great place to cool off during the hot dirty smoggy days of summer. Owner ran special matinee prices for 25 cents for a few summers. Watched a ton of flicks there.
They couldn’t afford to bring in the big blockbusters, Star Wars, etc. Many many fond memories…
