Sun International was the leading “Four Wall” motion picture releasing company. Instead of the traditional studio-theater split on box office receipts, Sun would rent the theater at a flat fee that would cover theater expenses and keep all ticket money and was called four walling. Theaters as usual would retain all concession sales.
