Opened as a single screen in the 1960’s. The Cinema 10 Twin was a twin from December 23, 1977. It was always known as Cinema 10 and was a 4-screen theatre from June 12, 1981. A 5th screen opened March 24, 1982 named Cinema X showing adult movies. On August 2, 1985 a 6th screen was added and Cinema X screen had gone over to regular movies.
It has been owned by Clearview Cinemas in recent years. In June 2013 it was taken over by Bow-Tie Cinemas, when they took most Clearview locations. In July 2016 it was taken over by Cinepolis. It was closed on January 5, 2020.

OK. It’s now a Cinepolis.
Expansions: 2 on December 23rd, 1977, 4 on December 23rd, 1977, 5 on March 24th, 1982 with the 5th screen called Cinema X, which had shown adult movies until 1985. 6 screens on August 2nd, 1985, 10 screens on June 29th, 1990
As a bow-tie, they use this part of the facility to warehouse excess equipment
I think this theater and mansfield will get renovations once work is done in Parsippany.

This is one of the better theaters to be managed by Cinepolis.

Very sad that this theater closed. Lots of good memories there throughout my childhood. They also were one of the first theaters to start a classic film program in my area where I saw a lot of my older favorites on the big screen for the first time - including Goodfellas, Back to the Future Jaws and Terminator 2. I just hope the industry survives this pandemic.
