The Jeffries Theatre was located on Connaroe Street at Manayuk Avenue, the theatre opened in 1928 with a seating capacity of 500. It was given a new, Art Deco marquee in 1940, which would survive until at least 2022. It closed in 1953 and became a Masonic Hall.

In 2016, the Masonic Hall moved to the suburbs, and new owners proposed to demolish the theatre and replace it with six homes. In 2017, newer owners took over, and in 2020 they proposed to expand the existing building’s 2nd floor, and have six apartments and seven interior parking spots. Thanks to OCF Realty’s Naked Philly website for the recent history.
