This theater is now closed. Regal continued to operate it despite diminishing attendance due to better theaters a short distance away in both Trumbull and Milford, but the landlord finally gave them the boot. The theater was a total dive anyways, they never made any significant investment beyond upgrading to digital, and it was within walking distance of some not nice neighborhoods in Bridgeport which gave it a poor reputation locally.

This theater was a dive. I think every other movie I saw there had problems with the projection or sound or something. I avoided it like the plague.

Correction: This was opened as Cinema Square by United Artists in 1987 with 7 screens and taken over by Hoyt’s in 1995. In 2001 it was enlarged to 14 stadium-seating cinemas as it is taken over by Entertainment Cinemas, who sold it to Regal in 2005. Closed 2015
