Built in 1925 with the first movie shown on New Year’s Eve. Family owned and operated (Frank Pepe and son) through two generations. Known for its Saturday matinees - often 35 or 50 cartoons for "a penny a cartoon", for its double-feature Sunday shows, "special showings" such as "The Song of Bernadette" and for the Wednesday night dish give-away.

Theater closed after being seriously damaged in the Hurrican Agnes flood of 1972. Later converted into a dress factory.
