Little Dixie Theater

Wylie Lewis and Bob Blankenship opened the Little Dixie Theater in 1909. Nell Blankenship played piano to accompany silent flicks of the day.

As all the other existing theater structures at that time, it was taken out in the 1916 firestorm which destroyed the area.

A view of the Little Dixie Theater in Paris from 1909/1916.

A close look at the sign over the box office displays show times and and admission price of 10 cents. The sign on the right over the entrance states “show going on come in and stay as long as you like.”
