Peoria Arizona theatre

Built in downtown Peoria, Arizona in 1920, it was originally named the Paramount Theatre and by 1941 had changed to the Peoria Theatre (listed as (Closed) in 1941 and 1943). It was damaged by a fire and rebuilt in 1947.

By 1954 it had closed and was converted to Peoria Fire Station #1. A new #1 firestation was built in the early-2000’s and the original firestation #1 was abandoned. By 2016 the building was occupied by the Lucidi Distilling Company.

It looks pretty small on the map view. I guess 270 seats would be about right, though.

Added pictures of the Peoria Theatre immediately after the fire, and after the remodel and reopening. The building is now open as the Lucidi Distilling Company. The complete remodel pays homage to the building’s history as Fire Station #1.
