Royal Theatre

The Royal Theatre was open in 1918 and was located next to Christensen’s on E. State Street. Seating was listed at 500.

During the Great Depression, movies at the Royal Theatre cost 10 cents. Ocassionally the Royal Theatre and the Cozy Theatre would give away tickets to keep up peoples' spirits. It was remodeled in 1932. On September 28, 1944 it was destroyed by fire.

A new Royal Theatre was built and that one closed in 1972.
