This theatre opened in the mid-1990’s as the Aberdeen Mall with four screens. It was expanded to seven screens in 1999. Seating is listed at 1,247, with the smallest auditorium seating 111 and the largest 235.
Empire Theatres took over operations in 2001. Amenities include stadium seating, digital DTS sound, automated box offices, digital projection, digital 3D, Real Deal Tuesdays and first run attractions. In October 2013 it was taken over by Cineplex Entertainment.

New Glasgow Also Has 2 Drive-In Theaters Previously Called The Academy Drive-In And The Highland Drive-In. Both Of These Locations Are Still In Operation In 1949.
