The Power County Press announced May 26, 1926, the Auditorium would be moving to its new location on Roosevelt Street. From 1925 to 1926 the whole town moved to higher ground to make room for the new American Falls reservoir. The foundations of the vacated town were left in place and can be seen today when the water is low.

The Auditorium in old town was located at 63 Chestnut (now under water) and opened December 8, 1908 with vaudeville attractions. It was noted G.S. Ellinger was buying opera chairs for the $12,000 building with a bowling alley on one side. The theater opened with 1,000 seats, which were removable for dances and roller-skating.

By 1914 the Auditorium was showing movies, many advertised as William Fox or Mutual Film Productions.

The Auditorium was last listed in Film Daily Year Book 1928 with 500 seats.

The Power County historical Society notes it was last used as a dance club and then a farm implement store.
