PRINCETON (I) Theatre; Princeton, Indiana.

This theatre was opened sometime between 1929 and 1931. It may have been a remodel of a large brick livery stable which had been on that site since about 1900.

The new theatre was larger by far than its local competition, and seems to have been wired for sound from the beginning.

It burned in the middle of 1946, and was replaced by the current theatre of the same name in 1948. Currently the location is a gravel parking lot.
