This was one of the four theatres that were located in downtown Old St. Charles. Just a small single story theatre located on Main Street. The Roxy Theatre was opened on February 15, 1940 with Joe E. Brown in “Beware Spooks”.

The Roxy Theatre was closed in 1952, but today the building is being used by a design firm.

The Roxy opened on February 15, 1940 with Joe E. Brown in “Beware Spooks” along with an unknown cartoon, an Andy Clyde comedy, and a Ted Fio Rito scopitone. It was closed in 1952.
