Who could forget the notorious Alex Theater on Chicago’s West Side. Situated on Madison near Hamlin, many Chicagoan’s remember the Alex for it’s 3 movies for a dollar admission fee. This place had a horrible smell and was very accommodating to four legged rodents. This place holds many memories of my childhood growing up in Chicago on the West Side in the 70’s.
