A great neighborhood theater that was still open in 1950. It didn’t survive the TV invasion. It became an IBEW union hall. (Last time I visited the neighborhood, the facade of the building and marquee were still intact, but that was about 20 years ago.)
By 2015 it was in use as a church.

IBEW website doesn’t list any locations for Bloomfield.
1951 FDY lists address as 47 Dodd Street, which appears to be a continuation of Watsessing Avenue.
Operated from circa 1945 to circa 1955.
I used to live on Watsessing in the 1980s and I don’t remember anything looking like a theater there. I’d be interested to know which place it was. There was a magic store there we went to that maybe had theater like qualities but hard to remember those details
It appears the building that used to be the theatre is now a church called Chateau De Grace which has an address of 49 Dodd Street on the building.
