Functions: Movies (Foreign), Movies (Independent)
Styles: Art Deco
Opened on 6th November 1945 as a student theatre/cinema with a seating capacity of 440. It became an art house cinema which it remains today, still catering to a young audience.
A second screen was added in 1965 which is known as Studio K and architect Carel L.W. Wirtz was responsible for the alterations. Current seating is for 204 in the main auditorium and 114 in Studio K. The plain brick exterior is relieved only by windows with the theatre name in green neon. The auditoriums are plain and devoid of any decoration. There is a very friendly cafe/coffee bar located in the foyer.
