Found on the Historic Aerials Website. Here we see a early 1979 image of an aerial view of the site of the recently demolished Amboy Drive In and at the corner view we see the ground being broken of what would eventually become the Amboy Multiplex Cinemas building which would open that December and continue to serve patrons up until 2005. I say this was from early 1979 because that’s what Historic Aerials site said it was and because it opened that Christmas based on the movies that these other archival newspaper clippings said it has.
