The last ad was placed on May 4th, 1988, with “French Kiss” and “Hunkamania”, both adult movies.

Reopened as the 220 Drive-In on February 26th. 1970 with “Love Camp 7” an Naziploitation film, which was seized by police on March 4th. Grand opening ad posted. Apparently in 1971 this drive-in faced obscenity charges for screening “Love Camp 7” however the charges were dropped when the drive-in agreed to never screen the film again.

This drive-in was located where Kohl’s is now. Approx. address is 4210 Franklin Road. The screen was facing away from the highway (near the back of what is now Home Depot).

It was actually the first Wal-Mart in that part of the state. I remember going to that drive-in in 1985 (we were underaged, so we used a piece of plywood to circumvent the “severe tire damage”); they still used window speakers, which I found funny when watching porno. :)
