This is a 1987 photo of the short-lived M&R Dearborn Cinemas. Cinema 1 was the Cinestage (already closed when this photo was taken) and Cinemas 2 and 3 was the twinned Michael Todd. M&R re-opened the long-shuttered Michael Todd in December, 1985 and eventually took over the next-door Cinestage and re-named them the Dearborn Cinemas. The plan was to twin both houses but the Michael Todd was the only one twinned. The Cinestage was in operation as Cinema 1 and was open on-again and off-again during the Dearborn Cinemas' short existence. The M&R Dearborn Cinemas closed in 1988 after only nearly 3 years of operation. It was an utter failutre.
