Stephen King frequents this cinema, as told to me by friendly staff on my visit from the UK in 2017.

I read something that it originally started out as an 8 screen cinema and was around in the late 80’s up through the 90’s and then in the late 90’s early 2000’s it was transformed into a 10 screen cinema.

It used to be owned by Hoyts but, now seems to be owned by the Boston Culinary Group.

It’s also advertised to be the only cinema in Maine to offer closed caption movies

This theater is shaped liked a box. Multiplex’s at their worst. That said it is only one of I believe two or three theaters in the Bangor area. Subsequently, filmgoers do not have much of a choice. Recently, I had the opportunity to go to Maine and we saw Monster-in-Law at this theater (maybe it was the movie that made me feel this way aout the theater?). The auditorium we were in was large and bland. It was clean and the projection was good.
