Burton Theater

Located in the Burton district, in the south of Flint. MI. The Burton Theater opened on February 17, 1939 with Clark Gable in “Too Hot to Handle”. It was closed around 1968.

It was torn down and is now a parking lot for the adjacent restaurant.

One correction to make, the theater was located in what is now Burton, Michigan. It was located in Burton Township when it was standing but the site is now in the city of Burton.

The Burton theatre opened on February 17th, 1939. Grand opening ad posted.
