The Post Theater is located in Fort Hancock, near Sandy Hook, NJ. The theater was built in 1933 to entertain the troops stationed there. After the fort was decommissioned in 1974, the National Park Service took over the fort. A volunteer group, the Sandy Hook Foundation, reopened the fort’s movie theater in 2000 as a community arts center.
