The Lafayette Theatre opened around 1926 and closed in 1955. This theatre has been demolished. Gil’s Hardware Store now occupies the site of the theatre.

Another theatre in Bay City demolished along with the Washington Theatre. Wake up, Bay City!

An item in the January 22, 1935, issue of The Film Daily said that a remodeling of the Lafayette Theatre in Bay City was one of the projects being carried out by Dearborn architects Bennett & Straight.

Demolished. Gill-Roy’s Hardware now occupies this site.
